Each of the water detectors in this pack of three is ideal for placing at the bottom of washing machines, water heaters, and toilets, or in basements where there is a worry of flooding. If a unit senses water, it will emit a loud 85-decibel alarm. Each water sensor is splash- and water-resistant and can be placed up to 6 feet away from the alarm unit.
Early Detection of Unwanted Water
Using a water alarm means you'll know the moment unwanted water has begun accumulating in your home. Place First Alert WA100-3 Water Alarms near sump pumps, at the base of washing machines and water heaters, and near toilets and sinks. Water detectors are also great for use in basements, garages and other areas that are susceptible to flooding.
Loud Alarm Keeps You Alerted
If a water alarm detects unwanted water, a loud 85-decibel alarm will sound. This alarm will continue to sound for up to 72 hours until it is silenced. The water sensor can be placed up to 6 feet away from its alarm unit, which means you can place the alarm somewhere that allows the sound to travel clearly.

Attached sensor to PVC outlet just above pump. Tested with water in a cup and worked well. Hope I never hear it except for testing, but should give warning if pump fails.

December 20, 2016The alarms work GREAT! The product is saving our apartment complex money as we have many overflowing toilets and tubs that tenants do not report until it is too late. When it affects a unit underneath them. The alarm lets the occupants know when the water hits the floor. Especially in the case of unattended children in the tub or little ones putting things in the toilet.
