Purchased to replace 2 old hardwired alarms that worked in conjunction with each other. When one was triggered, the other also went off. After the first new alarm was installed, we tested it and the alarm would not shut off. It was apparently incompatable with the remaining old alarm. When the 2nd new alarm was installed, both went off when one was tested, and both shut off as they should after the test. Very satisfied with the new alarms.

Product warranty supposed to be 10 years. Product sent had sticker on back that said manufactured in November 2009. Returned for refund. Wont buy your products again.

The mounting plate fit right over the existing box perfectly. The alarm was a litle bit stubborn fitting it onto the mounting plate. I would think it would be easier given that this is something that would be put up at arms lenght. It looks nice. It is loud enough to hear through the bedroom doors and loud enough to scare you out of bedd if the door is open.
