I recently bought one of these safes. The shell is all plastic. I had hoped that it would be all metal. The plastic is no big deal, as the safe is still sturdy, and elegant. My big problems with the safe At least MY safe are that although the combo is 4 numbers, you can determine what the second number of the combo is, without guessing, just by feeling the dial as you spin it clockwise. You can do this at any time, whether or not you have guessed the first number of the combo correctly. Additionally, if you know the first 3 numbers, to get the fourth number, you just spin the dial clockwise until it locks in place. Thats the 4th number. Because the dial has 100 positions, I feel like the box is still acceptably safe, but if you think you are getting a 4 number combo, youre not. You are getting a 2 number combo.
