This First Alert Combination Safe has been awarded a JIS 2 hour fire rating. This rating verifies a protection level that's capable of withstanding a temperature of 1700 degrees Fahrenheit while maintaining an internal temperature of less than 350 degrees. A selection of anti-theft features has also been implemented. The inclusion of steel construction with heavy duty steel hinges will discourage would be intruders, while the addition of six solid steel locking bolts will ensure the maximum in peace of mind. This First Alert Fire Theft Combination Safe also includes an automatic re-lock system, one removable shelf and a pull-out storage drawer.

The 2.02 cubic foot fire safe was delivered last week. Extremely heavy! Doubt robbers would choose to carry it out of the house. Very complicated combination lock sequence. I chose this type of lock over the touch pad as I did not want to replace batteries from time to time. I had a bad experience with Sentry safe with touch pad for that very reason. Too early to say much more about this product.
