Wished it was fire resistant, other than that it is perfect to mount to the wall and to a closet shelf. All of us know nothing is really theft proof, but I mounted it so it would be very time consuming or hard for a thief to get. They would have to find it first!. Good product though. I would recommend!

Durable Pry-Resistant Construction
The First Alert Steel Digital Anti-Theft Safe is made with heavy-gauge welded steel. The design features patented concealed anti-pry Delta hinges and two live-steel locking door bolts. Programmable Lock Deters Thieves
