This thing works like magic. I use in my garage and basement. The light is on as soon as Im inside and goes off shortly after I leave. No searching for the switch and, if Im carrying packages, laundry or whatever, I have light all the way upstairs or out and dont have to go back to turn it off? Lumos!

This is my second purchase of a motion-sensing socket. I put it in the light over my stove and it is very handy to have a light come on I am able to leave my overhead kitchen light off much more. THis purchase is for my daughter for the fixture at the foot of her basement stairs she likes to leave a light on for her dogs, so this will save energy for her as well.

We are gradually installing these on all our basement lights. The First Alert + CF works great and with CF bulbs too. We bought another brand at Home Depot and it was not as quick and sure to respond as First Alert.
