Attached sensor to PVC outlet just above pump. Tested with water in a cup and worked well. Hope I never hear it except for testing, but should give warning if pump fails.

December 20, 2016The alarms work GREAT! The product is saving our apartment complex money as we have many overflowing toilets and tubs that tenants do not report until it is too late. When it affects a unit underneath them. The alarm lets the occupants know when the water hits the floor. Especially in the case of unattended children in the tub or little ones putting things in the toilet.

December 7, 2012Use in my 5th wheel trailer. After 3 incidents of water leaks, causing damage to the floor and under sinks, I selected the First Alert 3 pack. Put under kitchen and bathroom sinks and one under the belly next to water manifold. One went off after 3 days of rain just due to the humidity. Really sensitive and a great value.

Need peace of mind from a flooding basement? Then this is the tool for you. I split this package with my mother she has placed one each near her the sump and the hot water heater at different locations in her basement. She duct taped the alarm onto a nearby pipe, about 3 feet off the floor and laid the remote sensors directly onto the floor. Mine is near my sump as well.
