The First Alert DC8405-420 is a solid entry-level wired security system that offers a great balance between coverage and expandability. This kit comes with an 8-channel DVR and four CM420 cameras, which is perfect for someone like me who wanted immediate coverage for the main entry points but knew I’d likely want to add more cameras down the road. Having those four extra channels available makes future upgrades incredibly simple.
Upgraded from 4 to 8 cameras with a new DVR. Everything went together well and the system is working beautifully and and doing what it is supposed to do.
