I was quite eager to use the product. I had a learning time, but I feel that I know how it works on my entry door. The loud sound will ward off any would be theft and now I can be sure to get rental insurance this will help.

Gave 3 granddaughters these alarms for Christmas and they were thrilled to get them! One lives in Manhattan, another is in college, and the third will go to college in August. They are so small and lightweight, yet they provide enough light and loud noise to make you feel like they would be invaluable in a problem situation.

The POD is small, lightweight and easy to use. So far it has worked like a charm. I have it on a door that is at the opposite end of my ranch style home from my bedroom. Sometimes the door wont lock, so this was a quick fix until I can replace the door which is the real problem. I can hear the alarm all the way in my bedroom!

The alarm is great and loud! I thought the LED light stayed on all the time, the directions are misleading. I was going to buy a small flashlight, but bought the Alert because it did both. I wish the light would stay on by itself. Other than that, I look forward using on my hotel door on my vacation.

Offering security in the palm of your hand, the POD device functions as a bag alarm, door alarm, panic alarm and LED flashlight. To use the POD as a bag alarm or to protect belongings, simply press the button once and use the included lanyard to attach the device to your purse, suitcase, stroller or computer bag in public. The loud 100-dB alarm and flashing LED may deter potential thieves and draw attention from local security. This is ideal for airport travelers or shopping with a purse in your cart.
The POD is also an effective motion detection door alarm. Press the button twice to set up delay mode. This allows 20-seconds to secure the POD to the interior of your door handle and exit the room. Because the POD is the only device to contain dual sensing technologies - an accelerometer to detect tilt and rotation and magnetometer to detect linear movement - it is highly sensitive to the door being opened quickly or gently edged open by intruders. The 20-second entry delay gives you time to reenter yourself without setting off the alarm in error. The POD also features a panic alarm with a 100-dB instant siren and LED flashlight to illuminate your surroundings in dark areas like parking lots or doorways. The compact and lightweight unit measures 3.2-inches by 1.8-inches by 1-inch. The POD includes (1) alarm, (1) CR2 long-life lithium battery, lanyard and manual.
