This is an excellent alarm for rental because it does not have a backup battery which a tenant might not replace when needed.

We recently bought a condo and noticed there was an old carbon monoxide detector plugged in. After checking it out and realizing it was past its lifetime, we thought it would be a good idea to purchase a new one. After investigating the matter, it turned out the replacement was the First Alert. Can't believe we never had invested in one before. And it appears as though we chose the right detector from the right company. inexpensive and easy to install & maintain. Should never be without a carbon monoxide detector! Mike Swartz Creek, MI

Just recently purchased c0600 plug-in alarm and so far it appears to be functioning as suppose to. This is a replacement as my original notified me it was time to replace by the extended beeps. Well made product, nice features, and a plug-in all in one.

Replacement of older carbon monoxide alarm that alerted me that it was time to replace unit after 7 years. I bought the same model. Simple to use & test. Prompt mailing, solid packaging.

This alarm doesn't have the bells and whistles of more expensive models but provides the security I want. It does not operate on batteries, which is okay with me because if I lose power, the furnace won't run anyway.
