Product Reviews
They are quick and easy to install and just as easy to check if they are working correctly and within date.
Reasonably priced, very fast shipping.
It was easy to install with the good directions it came with. The slimmer alarm design is better and it has performed as expected for biweekly testing.
Not all items were in stock, so Jenna McLaughlin worked with me to deliver what you had immediately, then the rest later. Good Customer Service!
I wanted to have both photoelectric and ionization alarms in the same room but I did not want a combination type smoke detector. Although I could not connect another AC powered alarm to my houses smoke detector network, this alarm was easily installed because it is battery powered, not battery backed-up.
I purchased the PR700 over the previous unit because unlike the replaced unit this one has a replaceable battery and I prefer a fresh battery on a yearly basis.
This smoke alarm is very easy to install. It is designed well. This is my second alarm and I'll buy it in the future.
I desire an alarm with a replaceable battery because the permanent 10 year battery models have failed to last more than 3 or 4 years. This model PR700 is just what I want and seems to work as intended.
I tried this alarm after being dissatisfied with a different brand that I'd been using. The unit is in my kitchen and I'm hoping the photovoltaic version will result in fewer alarms, particularly when cooking bacon, which always set off my old one. This unit is thin and installation was easy.
Received and installed in less than 5 minutes. Newer units are very slim and blend well. Very pleased.
Bought this unit to replace previous model, which died as expected after about 11 years. This one seems equally high quality, and slim design is nice. My only complaint is that the new unit does not fit the old base, so that base needed to be swapped out, causing inevitable damage to our plaster ceiling. Make your products backwards compatible!
GREAT
Just as I ordered. Easy to install. Everything worked out as I expected.
Very easy to install. Has a red indicator showing that it is working. Very nice.
quick shipping and good pricing
great service! Received the order quickly.
While ionization, and photoelectric smoke/fire alarms have their advantages, the NFPA recommends having both types in your home for the best protection. I have other ionization sensor alarms, but wanted a few photoelectric sensor alarms to complement them.
They seem to be working fine so far. I like the looks of the slimmer profile.
Perfect addition to the remodeled basement knowing that all floors on my home sport an inconspicuous alarm. Like the slim design & the fact that it will detect subtle smoke.
compact, easy to install, good guarantee
Product FAQs
Smoke alarms can beep for the following reasons:
- Low Battery: This is the most common cause. Most smoke detectors use a chirping sound (usually a single beep every 30-60 seconds) to warn you that the batteries are running low and need to be replaced. Don't wait until the alarm is silent - replace the batteries right away to ensure your smoke alarm continues to function properly.
- End of Life: Smoke alarms don't last forever. If your smoke detector is beeping constantly or in a different pattern than the low battery chirp, it may be nearing the end of its intended lifespan and should be replaced altogether.
